Leaving SI.com
I quit SI.com today. I feel they misrepresented to me how much they were going to be doing on MMA, and I was ashamed to be a part of what was really paltry and lacking coverage of the sport on their part. I actually have a lot of major issues with them, but I'll leave it at that. Glad to be gone, and I'm starting with CBS Sportsline next week.

Good for you, Todd.
Besides, my most important fantasy football league uses the CBS Web site.

Good for you. After reading Jon Wertheim (tennis, not steroids) and Peter King's latest pieces of dreck, that website is on my S list. I'll look forward to you work on CBS Sportsline.
Todd, I'm curious if the 'media bubble' on UFC has prematurely burst..by this, I mean that, a few months back, ESPN did a lot of coverage when Quinton Jackson won his fight over (I forget..), and you had guys like Michael Wilbon pretending to care about it on PTI, live interviews with Quinton, and so on. Then, with this last bout featuring Couture, I can not say that I recall seeing even a mention of his victory ( which, to me, is such a homerun in terms of sports stories I can't believe that they've ignored it. )anywhere within the ESPN Media Empire. I may well have just missed it, as I don't watch ESPN all the time and I'm not even a fan of MMA, but do you have a sense that after your experience with SI, that all the UFC coverage last spring was an experiment that they've decided to abandon? It seems odd to me on a number of levels.
Good luck on Sportsline.
Hey, you should go back to the Times. They took care of you. Well, except for the money part. :-)
Todd,
I work at ESPN and we continue to cover UFC. We showed highlights of the Couture fight for a few days after the fact. So there is interest...
Keep up the good work.
Thanks, guys.
