C'mon Todd, you've let all your fans down who look forward to reading your Raw Report. I read about 3 paragraphs of that Shapiro guy's on WO, and I just couldn't take anymore. ONE MORE REPORT. ONE MORE REPORT. ONE MORE REPORT.
The rumors of my demise have been greatly exagerrated (although the rumors of my spending Monday night sleeping in a bush have elements of truth). I'll be back next week.
It's kind of unfortunate the reaction when Justin takes over. The reason I ask him to help me out when I can't do a report is because I like his stuff. But it seems that whenever he takes over I get people bashing him and he gets people bashing me. I wish there were a larger group that seemingly enjoyed both, although I recognize this is harder in this case given how different are styles are. Oh well. Can't fault people for their opinions.
Yesterday (Tuesday) was my birthday. I celebrated by burning an effigy of Joakim Noah and doing a lot of work for school. Not the best day, but it could have been worse. I could have been Randy Orton.
On Orton, I don't know what he did. The fact they said unprofessional conduct seems to preclude drug issues, so I would suspect he did something that reflected poorly on the company during WrestleMania weekend. He's had problems treating the women in the company badly in the past, so maybe it is something along those lines. I would guess that Dave will find out for this week's Observer, but I guess we will see.
I haven't see WrestleMania yet. My general policy is to get the good PPVs on DVD, since it's cheaper, they come out quickly, and I can avoid the bad shows. I'll drop my thoughts here when I watch it in a month or so. It sounds like a good show so I am looking forward to it, plus the full Bret Hart speech from the HOF.
I agree that Todd and Justin are both good at writing Raw recaps. Justin is probably a little funnier, Todd is a better writer and does more analysis, and both of them do a good summary of the show.
The reason I do not enjoy Shapiro's report is because he fills 75% of the report with this humor that I just find so unfunny. I mean Christ sakes; it took him 950 words before he finished talking about the opening segment! Too much word-for-word breakdown and too much of an attempt at humor (which fails in my opinion, I know others disagree).
I like Todd's reports because he covers the main points of Raw, and I really enjoy when he throws in his business analysis on the show (ex. "This was a really good segment because..." "this was horrible on so many levels because..."). Also, I know it's just a matter of taste, but I find any of Todd's humor to be enjoyable; Shapiro's makes me cringe.
But to be fair, if I could see something more of in Todd's reports, it would be a longer section of "Final Thoughts". I love when Todd has a lengthy part of this, and I'm disapointed when it's just one or two sentences.

The basketball game or the prospect of God jobbing to Vince?
jobbing to vince? trips, er, i mean God would never do that...
It's sad to note that you could be talking about the "God" angle, the Chavo angle, the return of Jamal, or the whole damn show.
AAR
maybe the USCLA loss? ruined it?

I liked Justin Shapiro's report this week.
Me too. Todd's good, Justin's good. In different ways, but I like both.
