Big Recruiting Day for UCLA

UCLA landed 10 football recruits Friday and Saturday, including top national prospects Kemonte Bateman and Rahim Moore, and heavily recruited pass rushers Datone Jones and Damien Holmes.

Really solid signal for the Bruins, with a lot of recruits eager to jump on board. It suggests that players are buying into Karl Dorrell's program, and potentially the tide is beginning to turn on USC's recent domination of the LA football landscape.

By comparison, how'd the trojans do in the recruiting market?

It's still early, but they have 6 commitments thus far. Both USC and UCLA are ahead of the curve as far as the number of recruits. USC draws a lot of national players in, but UCLA has done a great job the past few years of locking up local southern California players. I think by emphasizing that identity they can do really well because it's a really strong area for high school football.

Slowly but surely growing fond of your boy Dorrell. One hell of a coaching job a year ago and he definitely deserves alot more credit than I gave him early on.

I'd love to see him follow up that big time win over USC.

Great season, but you know my boys OWNED yall in that rag tag shoulda-been home game they called the Emerald Bowl.

Dont worry Karl, I'm sure theyre working on a stained glass imagine of yourself for the UCLA chapel.
